Stuart Connelly graduated from Syracuse University’s prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where he studied writing, film and advertising.
With Civil Rights icon Clarence Jones, Stuart wrote the critically-acclaimedBehind the Dream: The Making of the Speech that Transformed a Nation and Uprising: Understanding Attica, Revolution, and the Incarceration State.He also interviewed Jones for the upcoming documentary covering his life, In the Shadow of the Dream.
He is the screenwriter, producer and director of Image Entertainment's new crime thriller The Suspect and is the producer of the upcoming drama Natural Selection.
Stuart is a National Educational Press Association Award winner for his work with Scholastic Publishing and founded of the San Francisco-based advertising agency Topeka. He writes for the online news destination the Huffington Post and his fiction is currently taught at the Algonkian Writer’s Workshop alongside luminaries like Mark Twain, Flannery O’Connor, Franz Kafka and Raymond Carver.
